Easter Egg French Manicure

Hi all! I just wanted to share what I ended up wearing yesterday as my Easter tribute. I actually only had a little bit of time to do a mani, but wanted something festive. It has been YEARS since I wore a French manicure. I feel like that's what I wore before I really knew how fun nail polish could be. So this is somewhat of a throwback to my previous polish days. These photos were my "quick and dirty" photos (meaning no cleanup, moisturizing, etc). But I actually had fun playing with the goodies I put in my boyfriend's basket, that I mangled my manicure beyond fixing (I literally let my mani dry for 3 minutes and left, whoops).

I actually freehand my French manicures...I always have. I know there are guides or you can use tape, but I simply use the polish brush and follow the natural line of my nail.

For the French manicure part I used one coat of Essie Mademoiselle then one coat of Essie Shine of the Times. Then I used another coat of Mademoiselle. I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls to create the French tip and lastly used one coat of Essie Kisses and Bises for shimmer. It's a shimmery, flakie French!

To add some Easter flare, following the French tip, I dotted pastels appropriate for spring! Ulta Encore Pink, Ulta Cream of the Crop (yellow), Essie Shelter Island (blue), Kiko Mint Milk (green), and Essie Play Date (purple).

I'm totally weirded out by seeing a French manicure on my nails! I hope you love it and had a wonderful holiday if you celebrate (and Happy last night of Passover!)
